"Honorable and noble people of Jordan, your Mujahideen brothers in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in punishment of the child-killing American army and in response to the repeated aggressions against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, destroyed a radar of the American THAAD missile defense system with lightning strikes on American bases,"

the IRGC said in the statement.

The IRGC claimed that a Patriot air defence system and a C-RAM radar were also destroyed, while fuel tanks at a US base were set ablaze. It further alleged that a helicopter equipment warehouse along with a helicopter repair and maintenance facility was destroyed during the strikes.

Addressing the people of Jordan, the IRGC said it respected the country's sovereignty but argued that the presence of US military bases violated Jordan's territorial integrity.

Detailing recent military engagements, the IRGC noted that following the resumption of hostilities, US forces initially launched cruise missiles from naval vessels in the Indian Ocean. After exhausting those missile supplies, American forces turned to deploying B-1 bombers operating directly out of the RAF Fairford airbase in the United Kingdom.

Reiterating official foreign policy positions, the IRGC affirmed that

any base used to facilitate aggression against Iranian territory is considered a legitimate target.

 
The announcement concluded with a stern warning to the British monarchy, describing London as a primary historical source of misfortune in the region with a record that includes the division of Islamic countries, mass killings, the imposition of authoritarian governments, and the organization of the occupation of Palestine.

By referring to U.S. B-1 bombers operating from RAF Fairford in England, while reiterating that any base used to launch attacks against Iran would be considered a legitimate target, the IRGC has raised a broader strategic question: Is Tehran redefining the geographical boundaries of its deterrence doctrine?

Until now, Iran’s deterrence strategy has largely focused on U.S. military installations across the Middle East. However, the language of the latest statement suggests that, should the conflict escalate further, military facilities outside the region could also become part of Tehran’s strategic calculations.

Such messaging is not merely a military threat; it is also an attempt to raise the potential costs for European countries that might directly support military operations against Iran, thereby influencing Western decision-makers before the crisis enters a more dangerous phase.

 Against this backdrop, speculation has resurfaced over the possibility that Iran possesses—or could eventually unveil—missile systems with ranges exceeding those it has officially acknowledged. While no Iranian official has confirmed the existence or deployment of such capabilities, the shift in official rhetoric has fueled analysis that Tehran could reveal previously undisclosed strategic assets if the conflict intensifies.
