A prominent massacre took place in 1977. Throughout the terror years of the 1970s the major trade unions of Turkey had organised a protest rally on Istanbul's main Taskim Square on the traditional labour day, the first of May. In 1976, in the face of the continuing and increasing domestic terror, 100,000 had taken part in a peaceful demonstration. And in 1977 at least 500,000 gathered on the square. The horror started as the sun was setting and snipers on surrounding buildings started firing at the speaker's platform. The crowd panicked. Thirty-eight were killed, hundreds were injured. The shooting had lasted for 20 minutes, yet several thousand police at the scene did not intervene. Turkish CIA agent Hiram Abas, who 'was closer than his own brother' to CIA chief of station Clarridge was personally present on the May Day massacre.51 The Hotel International, from which the shots were fired belonged to the ITT company which had already been involved in financing the coup against President Allende in Chile in 1973 and was on good terms with the CIA. Three days before May Day the hotel had been emptied of guests and no reservations were accepted. On May 1 a group of fereigners entered the hotel. After the massacre the hotel had been taken over by another company and its name was changed to 'Marmara Hotel'. During the investigation which followed crucial video and audio material suddenly disappeared.

During the trial, Oleyis [the hotel workers union] Branch Chairman Ali Kocaman had the information which he had received from hotel personnel placed in the minutes: “Three days earlier, the third, fourth and fifth floors of the Intercontinental Hotel were emptied and no one was allowed on the floors, which were under police control. Americans had come and stayed on the floors which the personnel were not allowed to enter. After the incident, these people checked out of the hotel.”

Така мюсюлманите и крайната десница в Европа се превръщат в двете страни на една и съща монета, които се подтикват взаимно към още по-голяма радикализация и така задълбочават разрива в европейското общество.

Robinson is being bankrolled by a nexus of international organizations. Many of those groups, it turns out, are part of the American right-wing infrastructure supporting the Israeli cause.

The Philadelphia-based think tank Middle East Forum is one of the British extremist’s biggest sponsors. Daniel Pipes, MEF’s president, confirmed to The Times of Israel that his group has spent roughly $60,000 on three demonstrations defending Robinson’s legal trial.

Pipes said that he first met Robinson in December 2017 and was “impressed” by him. He described Robinson as part of a group of people who are “trying to sustain their civilization, trying to keep Europe Europe, trying to keep the West the West. Overall, I think that their effort is sound and needed.”

Robert Shillman, a US-based billionaire who gives frequently to Israeli institutions, financed a fellowship that payed for a position Robinson held in 2017 with a right-wing Canadian website, The Rebel Media, according to The Guardian. (Shillman did not respond to requests for comment.)

Both the MEF and Gatestone are funded by Nina Rosenwald, a self-described “ardent Zionist” and American Jewish philanthropist who co-chairs American Securities Management, and who founded the Gatestone Institute. (Rosenwald did not respond to a request for comment.) Gatestone also receives millions in donations from the Mercer family, who are one of US President Donald Trump’s top financial backers.

В много европейски държави хората наблюдават с тревога как мюсюлманските общности и организации усилно и с фанфари и тържества изкупуват църкви, които са затворили вратите си поради липса на интерес към тях, за да ги превърнат в джамии и молитвени домове за мюсюлманите.

Това вече съм го чел в романа Мечеть Парижской Богоматери. Има то в читанката в превод на български. Защо, по дяволите, антиутопиите трябва да се превръщат в реалност?

Не разбирам защо антиутопиите са нещо лошо?
