I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints, and then I smoke two more
This song is often
wrongly attributed to Bob Marley, but was actually written and originally performed by reggae group The Toyes. The ska-punk band Sublime did a cover version, which received mass air play, and it appears on their 1992 "40 oz. to Freedom" album. Live recordings of Sublime's version are often attributed to Marley as well.
Despite what you may find on P2P networks, or blogs or youtube videos, Bob Marley could never have performed this song live (and it is not found on any of his recorded albums) as the song was written and released in 1983, AFTER Marley's death from terminal cancer on May 11, 1981. It was re-released in 1993 on the Toyes' debut Album "The Toyes".
